Is it true that mineral foundation is good for your skin?

Does the Maybelline Mineral Power natural perfecting powder foundation really make your skin better for the long run? My skin is not that bad so I do not need to use foundation but it does look better with the foundation on. I wanted to know if using this foundation is making my skin better or worseIs it true that mineral foundation is good for your skin?
I actually checked this out with my beautician friend once and she said if we use a good foundation, it shouldn't clore our pores and instead it should even help act as a layer of protection for our faces from the dirt/dust around us. So i think it should be good.

Also, i was told the minerals in the foundation is suppose to be good for our skin coz since we eat multi-vitamins to keep our bodies healthy, why shouldn't our skin have extra supplement of minerals to make it look good..hahaha.

Btw, a new brand of quality mineral foundation i came to know about recently is from Mary Kay. its a new skincare/cosmetic brand which has just arrived in Singapore and is popular in USA. I remember reading in a website that celebrities in usa uses mary kay cosmetics at the oscars. Coz their cosmetics are suppose to be non-comodogenic, so it doesn't clog pores.

Anyway, my girlfriend knows someone whose selling this brand and so she's arranging for us to go for a complimentary trial. If you're still unsure and is searching for a good foundation, maybe you can join us to go for the free trial. Afterall its for free and maybe you can get your answer from their skincare expert also. ;-)Is it true that mineral foundation is good for your skin?
It depends on how your skin will react to the ingredients.

the foundation you are using does contain ingredients that would not be considered as a ';mineral foundation'; ingredient (meaning they are more harmful to the skin because they are not natural or organic). It may cause reactions, it may do absolutely nothing.
