What are the pros and cons of using mineral foundation/makeup?

The pros are that they won't clog your skin, it can breathe. There aren't any oils which damage your skin, and also other chemicals like Sodium Lauryl Sulphate which is really bad for your skin and make you look older. They are usually not tested on animals.

Cons, you don't get such thick coverage(however, using it for a longer period of time will make your skin better and thus extra coverage isn't needed) and some brands contain some harmful minerals, or are fake. I suggest you do proper research on the brands you are interested in.What are the pros and cons of using mineral foundation/makeup?
PROS:

-good for your skin

-doesn't clog pores

- light coverage

- doesn't damage your skin from continued/everyday use

CONS:

- doesn't give a full and complete coverage as liquid foundations.

Be careful though. A lot of companies are claiming that there foundation is a mineral type and it's fake. So read the labels and choose a reputable brand. What are the pros and cons of using mineral foundation/makeup?
I am basing all my information from what I have learned from the Cosmetic Cop (AKA Paula Begoun), and my personal experience.

YOU HAVE TO READ THE LABELS!!! Some companies put talc in their powder. Talc can be harmful, and doesn't really do much. It can clog pores, get your face oily, and stain clothes if you get it on things. If you get the correct kind (which I don't know that that is) you can have sheer cover that looks natural, breathes easily, and doesn't feel heavy.

Please check out the Cosmetic Cop. She has tested every beauty product, and I put all my faith in her when shopping for makeup!
