I want one that will give me a lovely healthy glow and decent coverage? What is the best Mineral Foundation?
I love kms mineral essentials. I have used many other brands including bare minerals. Kms wears longer through the day for me and my skin looks absolutely amazing. I get great coverage with it as wellWhat is the best Mineral Foundation?
I would have to say Bare Minerals. I get a great coverage and it makes my skin look flawless. I have normally oily skin and whenever i apply Bare Minerals, my skin doesnt get oily or greasy, its really cool actually. i have tried alot of foundations and found Bare Minerals to be the bestttt!
BareMinerals or Glo Minerals. Glo minerals is a bit more pricy and harder to find.. but the way its milled and processed makes it more pure and bare minerals. they're both REALLY good at coverage and glow
try maybelline h20 its 50% water so its not oily, it will make your skin look whatever colour you choose also.

What is the best type of mineral powder foundation? ?
I want a mineral foundation that covers well and doesn't look caked on and one that lasts all day. I was thinking about getting the bareMinerals but it is kinda pricey. I figure there is a brand out there that is just as good but a little bit cheaper that I haven't heard of. Help please =DWhat is the best type of mineral powder foundation? ?
Being a professional makeup artist and having tried so many brands and mediums of makeup I can help you narrow this down and make your own choice. Here is a list based off my experience and expertice..........
1) No to Drugstore brands (loreal, maybelline, revlon, neutrogena etc.)........They are loaded with chemicals (including bismuth oxychloride- which is not a mineral but a metal that has been processed with tin and copper, it is well known to cause itching, rash and acne) that can aggravate your skin and break you out. Due to these unneeded chemicals and fillers they also leave your skin looking powdery, cakey, strange and dull and with time will make for an overall unhealthy complexion
2) No to bare escentuals..........this is one company who has waaaay to much hype, most of the time it's from people who have never used anything else so they haven't tried anything better. Bare escentuals uses Bismuth oxychloride which is bad for your skin. (as stated above.) they are also not truthful as they say no preservatives yet they use chemical parabeans in their mineral veil and other formulas. They also use cheap fillers like cornstarch and that is the main ingredient in their mineral veil. Their makeup wears off by midday and looks very greasy and shiny.
There are many great mineral companies out there that do not use bismuth oxychloride, I have chosen the one I use after much research looking for purity, absence of chemicals and preservatives, adhesion(how long it stays on) and overall finish (how it looks on)
I use Faerie Organic Minerals a company based near chicago, I really can't say enough good about it. Heres a few reasons I choose them above others....
1)They are natural, no preservatives, no chemicals, cheap fillers or binders
2)they are good for your skin, they help exsiting skin conditions like acne, roseaca, sensitive skin due to the zinc oxide and boron nitride
3) the ingredients they use are listed on the safety cosmetic database http://cosmeticdatabase.com and rate as very safe for your skin and health
4)their minerals are lightweight, airy, natural looking, blend easily, cover redness, acne etc very well and best of all last all day and leave a dewy glow (most companies lack somewhere in this list)
5)They are more affordable than most mineral brands
6)you can get a free sample kit to try first. It comes with 2 foundations, sheer veil (oil absorber) and bronzer
I am sure I am forgetting some additional pluses but you probably getthe idea. This was my choice based on my experience and expectations. I do recommend getting the free sample kit though. http://www.faerieorganic.com

They have the best all natural mineral foundation ever. They have no fillers that will irritate your skin, and it looks so soft and cover really good.
I also use www.Earthglominerals.com products too.
these products are very affective in covering and have no fillers or other harmful chemicals Like BE have. And very reasonable prices, if I had to choose as far as foundation, i would go with the first link i provided, and eyeshadows, i go to the second link! hope this helps.
Bare Minerals and I have tried them all. I would like to build a shrine to the people who make this stuff. Go to Ulta, Qvc.com, and of course their own site.
Physicians Formula you can get in regular stores like Walmart and Target and is my choice for the less expensive brand.
I truly thing mineral make up is the best beauty product invented since hair products. And picture a world with no hair products! LOL
I use a powder mineral foundation by Avon. I find I have to reapply it one or twice a day (maybe it's because I'm really self conscious) but it works really well. :)

What is the best mineral foundation out there?
ARTISTRY Essentials.
I've used Sheer Cover, Bare Minerals and now i use artistry. Bare minerals was okay, nothing really bad about it but after a while it broke me out so i switched and i loveee artistry. It's great coverage and so natural. It's also ranked top 5 prestige cosmetics of the world. And not found in stores, so if you're interested please do email me and i'll tell you where i get mine (:What is the best mineral foundation out there?
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!

Do you think the Maybelline Bare Mineral Foundation is any good?
i was thinking of buying it so what is ur opinionDo you think the Maybelline Bare Mineral Foundation is any good?
I think you should go with L'Oreal Bare Naturale. The Maybelline liquid one doesn't cover up and is very sheer. The powder is loose and doesn't stick. You should try L'Oreal Bare Naturale. They have concealers and glows along with shadows and finishers to go with their foundation. It might be two or three dollars pricier, but it also lasts a heck of a lot longer than the Maybelline. It's not thick in consistancy either.Do you think the Maybelline Bare Mineral Foundation is any good?
I hate it. It is REALLY thick. It puts a layer over your skin really bad. I do however LOVE the Physicians Formula kind. Walmart has it and it is a way better product.
I actually loved it so much I did a little research on it and found out that this brand is one of the oldest and trusted brands in make up. ORIGINAL :)
Best of Luck to ya

Is mineral liquid or mineral powder foundation better for oily skin?
Is mineral liquid or mineral powder foundation better for oily skin? If mineral powder foundation is used, is using an additional powder to set make-up necessary? Are there any low- to mid-price brands you would recommend? Is mineral liquid or mineral powder foundation better for oily skin?
Mineral is better because it absorbs oil and won`t clog pores. No, you do not need an additional powder. Physicians Formula Talc-Free loose powder is great for oily skin. Almay loose skin is also, but it gives more coverage. They are about $10-$11 each and go on sale often. Is mineral liquid or mineral powder foundation better for oily skin?
The less coverage you use, the better. After I began applying Vaseline to my T-zone at night before going to bed and ditching the daily liquid foundation, my skin has improved in tone and health SO much and doesn't produce nearly as much oil. I've never used mineral foundation/powder, but have found that after only a few weeks of using the Vaseline routine, my skin calmed down a lot and now only requires a layer of compact powder (I use CoverGirl TRUblend) and a few dabs of concealer. And you will feel so much better when you don't have all the weight of a liquid foundation on your skin.
Mineral powder doesn't cover that good at all...well at least for me. i have oily %26amp; acne prone skin. and when i tried it, it irritated my skin %26amp; made it itch...and plus it didn't even cover my acne or anything. it was like wearing bronzer but in your color. it was terrible. i love MAC's studio fix powder foundation. i's great coverage %26amp; its buildable %26amp; it helps with my oily skin %26amp; it covers my acne. it doesn't make me break out that i've noticed...well since i do always have acne lol. maybe you should try it %26amp; see if u like it. or maybe try another powder foundation if your not comfortable with wearing MAC's. hope i helped =)
i think powder would be better because it won't slide off as easily as liquid when you sweat.
also i heard that it absorbs the oil on your face.
i don't think you have to use separate setting powder. not sure. but for liquid you should because it can melt off your face.
physicians formula is good because it won't clog your pores %26amp; there's one that's talc free.
i would use mineral powder, but if ur skin is really oily, you migt want to use mineral liquid then put on mineral powder....its just that if your skin is really oily, it might wash away the powder, but at the same time if you put mineral liquid by itself it might look too oily automatically...so i wud say put the liquid then the powder on...
hope i helped!! :)

Does mineral makeup foundation go out of date?
I've had this mineral makeup now since December 2008, it's now July. I was wondering if it goes out of date? I've never used a mineral foundation before. But was thinking maybe it might not be good for you after a certain amount of months? Can someone explain a bit about this please?Does mineral makeup foundation go out of date?
all make up has an expiry date on it somewhere usually there's a wee picture of a pot on the label with a number next to it and the number is the number of months you should use it for before you should stop using it!Does mineral makeup foundation go out of date?
all beauty products has an expiry date on it. It has a number on the label as a guide as to how long you have with that particular product.
dont use after expiry date over
Yeah it goes off - you shud get rid soon. 6-12 months

Can you use the same powder brush you use for setting powder to the mineral powder foundation?
just wondering =)
or do u have to buy another brush for the mineral powder foundation? Can you use the same powder brush you use for setting powder to the mineral powder foundation?
If you are applying mineral foundation, you use to get a free kabuki baby brush or kabuki brush to say so.Can you use the same powder brush you use for setting powder to the mineral powder foundation?
Sweet heart, you can use any brush for whatever you want! Whatever you are comfortable with, go for it! I like having different makeup brushes just for the satisfaction, but do I really use all of them at once? not really because I get lazy trying to find them, and blah! I like using the black bush with the white bristles as well ( i have no idea what its called. its this one http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.鈥?/a> ) for everything from liquid foundation, to mineral loose foundation, to blush and to setting powder. Its just my own preference =-)
well for the foundation you use a kubuki brush.....the bristles are shorter and closer together so the foundation applies on better...then the powder brush applies the light finish.......you can buy some cheap brushes at walmart...i think they r revlon brand...they wont pretty good for me
Absolutely, since the foundation and the setting powder are both for all over the face.

Attention Ladies: What is the best type of mineral foundation to use on sensitive skin?
I am specifically looking for a mineral foundation that is hypoallergenic and will not irritate the skin. What types would you guys recommend? I was shopping for mineral foundation the other day and found some that were $16 and some that were $70! I would prefer something a little more affordable than $70 but I heard that the cheaper ones aren't always the greatest for sensitive skin. Attention Ladies: What is the best type of mineral foundation to use on sensitive skin?
bare minerals or proactiv, both are very good , proactiv is 4 senstivie skin, and doesn't clog your pores ! Attention Ladies: What is the best type of mineral foundation to use on sensitive skin?
I use Mary Kay skin products!

Have you used BARE ESCENTUALS AND JANE IRIDALE mineral foundation?
and if you have which did you prefer and why??? I currently use Bare Minerals in Light and this is a great color for me because of the yellow, so if you do prefer jane iridale what color is also closest to that.??Have you used BARE ESCENTUALS AND JANE IRIDALE mineral foundation?
I used to use bare escentuals and at first liked it but then I noticed it left me very greasy and wore off by the afternoon. I used it on several of my clientel and had to discontiue it due to irritation. I tried Jane and liked it but they use microparticles which are pretty dangerous to inhale. If you are looking for something new that is like Jane but more affordable (I consider Jane to be waaay more high class than bare)
You should really not use Bare Escentuals (this is why...)
1)They say pure minerals- not true. They use a cheap filler called Bismuth oxychloride which is not an actual mineral but a METAL that has been processed with tin and copper. It is a major skin irritant and can cause itching, rash and acne. (This is in almost all mainstream mineral makeup- AVON, loreal, maybelline, revlon, etc.....)
2)They say No preservatives- not true. They use parabean preservatives in their mineral veils and other skin care items
3) They use cheap fillers (besides bismuth they use cornstarch)
4)They get greasy and shiny by afternoon and start to slide off the face
5)They are overpriced and overhyped for what they are giving you
What I use on myself and clientele and why........
Faerie Organic Minerals is the best I have come across for many factors heres my list............
1)They are all natural, No preservatives at all, no parabeans,
2)No cheap fillers, No BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE, no cornstarch or talc
3)They do not coat their minerals (some companies do this and you should be aware, they are not good for your skin and could cause chemical rash or acne) some companies coat their minerals with dimethicone, silicone or other synthetic ingredients
4)They do not use nano particles or microparticles (some companies brag about these particles) (jane uses these) they are very dangerous to your health when inhaled, which is common since minerals are loose powder.
5)They use an expensive high end mineral like the high end companies (Jane Iredale) called Boron Nitride which is the main ingredient I look for as boron is amazing for the skin. It is known to be antibacterial (helps heal acne while you wear it), a skin perfector and soother.
6)Their minerals are LIGHT, AIRY, NATURAL LOOKING, DEWY and have AMAZING COVERAGE!
7)Their minerals last all day even in extreme heat
8) Their minerals are NOT chalky, powdery, orangey, dull, shiny or greasy. They look like your natural skin only better.
9)They are more affordable than most brands.
10)They offer a FREE sample kit so you can try before you buy (you just pay shipping, like $5.99)
This is what I have been using and my clientele loves it, I wouldn't change. I know you will too, just check it out. http://www.faerieorganic.com
Faerie organics ingredients are: Mica, Boron Nitride, Titanium dioxide and Zinc oxide, (iron oxides+ultramarines (what makes it colored) That is it! No crazy chemicals that have links to cancers! Have you used BARE ESCENTUALS AND JANE IRIDALE mineral foundation?
only bare escentualds......i love it....and i normally dont wear makeup

Which is the best mineral foundation?
I wannt try minerals foundation but dont know which brand to get. Which is the best for acne prone and oily skin and Why??Which is the best mineral foundation?
hmm, I've only tried one after doing much research on the net...and I have to say it's really good (I've got oily and acne-prone skin too arghh). The best part is that you can sample the colors first before buying the full-sized stuff--and you only haveta pay for postage! (and the samples last for agesss!) oops! forgot to tell ya the name! ;) it's Everyday Minerals..just go to www.everydayminerals.com and check it out! (plus they're pretty cheap) :) Oh! I've also heard from people that Joppa Minerals (www.joppaminerals.com) is also good...but I haven't tried it personally as yet...check them out! Good luck! :))
PS: just make sure you apply mineral makeup as you should (see the sites i mentioned) and you're good to go!
PS2: DON'T use Bare Ecentuals (or however you spell it)...many people I know with sensitive skin breakout with this! :( but I guess people have different skins...Which is the best mineral foundation?
I would use bare essencial, the best on the market.
Pricey but it lasts a long time and what i love u
can even sleep in it, good luck!!!!!
I think your best bet is to order various samples on Ebay. I've found that Jane Iredale Pressed Powder is best for oily skin. But Bare Essentials has a nice loose powder that looks beautiful, but it's totally messy to deal with. Sooo, before you spend big $$ on any one of them, get some little samples first. Try it out and have fun!
I tried Bare Minerals from QVC. Started to order their kit, but couldn't combine the two colors I thought I needed for foundation so I ordered from Everyday Minerals. I believe the Bismuth in BM probably works well for acne. EM offers 4 different types of foundation which may be worth exploring.
I used bare minerals and liked it. However, it is very expensive. Avon is coming out with their own brand and I'm sure it will work just as well. I've ordered some and it should be coming in this week. I will let you know how it works. It's very inexpensive. I believe it was $9.99 with the brush, but don't quote me on that. It will premier in an upcoming catalog. Oh I just checked. You can order it now, it is $9.99 with the brush and foundation!!!!
I wear Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals. I have oily skin, broken capillaries and dark circles under my eyes. For me, this foundation covers those issues and looks natural. It doesn't clog your pores, you control the coverage and it has a natural SPF15.
If you're near either a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora store, stop in and check it out. Both carry a starter kit which runs $60-$75, it has 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes and an instructional DVD.
Check it out if you don't like it you're not out anything.
I'll have to agree with someone else on this. Bare Minerals is the best I have tried. It's really easy to put on and it only takes about 15 seconds to put on. It covers like regular foundation but without the heavy feel. It doesn't transfer onto clothes, it's water resistant, and, like one of the previous answers, you can sleep in it! It makes your skin look like it's glowing. I paid about 39.99 for my kit, but it lasts forever. Good luckblack hair

Good luck
What's a good mineral foundation to try?
I'm thinking about switching to mineral foundation but know nothing about it and why it's so popular. Can someone tell me a bit about it along with a good brand to try. Thanks. What's a good mineral foundation to try?
I use Everyday Minerals for my foundation now and I love it! It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, it's affordable and it gives good coverage. It feels really light on my skin, like I'm not wearing much makeup at all. You can actually get a free sample kit if you want to try it out! The sample kit comes with 3 foundation colors, a blush and a concealer. Go here for instructions on how to get it: http://blog.musthavemakeup.com/?p=256
To use the foundation, first moisturize really well. Then tap a little of the mineral powder into a clean bowl and swirl it with your brush. Finally, using small circles, buff the makeup onto your skin. Keep doing this until you get the look and coverage that you want. That's it!What's a good mineral foundation to try?
L'Oreal's mineral make up is fabulous! I just bought it this weekend, and I've used it every day since! Your skin stays nice and clean feeling, and it doesn't wear off during the day. The coverage is amazing. I bought the concealer, foundation, blush, and bronzer. I also bought an eyeshadow just because it was pretty!
Good luck!
good mineral foundation....i honestly would say BareMinerals. I currently use it and it works great! I overheard on the radio that they are giving away a special offer and it includes a free give-away...the number is 1-800-900-2870...hope thats right! good luck! :)

Is facial primer used under liquid or mineral foundation?
Do you use primer under just liquid foundation? Or should it also be used under powders and minerals?
I don't really use liquid foundation too often, so I'm not sure.
Also... do primers break you out?Is facial primer used under liquid or mineral foundation?
Nope primers are used to keep the makeup on your face from running or falling off (mineral makeup). Depending on your skin type you should find a primer that suits you.Is facial primer used under liquid or mineral foundation?
primers do not break you out. but they should be used under all foundations liquid or powder.

If I use Loreal Paris Mineral foundation do I need primer?
will it look caked on and fake. Is Loreal Paris Mineral foundation any good. The mineral concealer? If I use Loreal Paris Mineral foundation do I need primer?
I do not use a primer before I apply my mineral makeup. It IS important to apply a moisturizer though. Let it sit a moment on your face before you brush on your makeup.
Yes. Have used Loreal Paris. If was fine. The
brush that came with it was stiff and my face didn't like it. So I used another brush.
Do not put much on your brush and tap the extra back into the container. Gently apply to your face in circles, don't forget your neck/jaw line. You can apply 2nd time if you want.
Visit this website signatureminerals.com and @home page look on left side, find the learning center. Click on mineral makeup tips. They have step by step ';how to apply'; mineral make up.

What do you think of Lancome mineral powder foundation?
I have it and don't know how much to use !What do you think of Lancome mineral powder foundation?
Loreal is Lancome's parent company. They most likely use many of the same ingredients and processes in manufacturing cosmetics. I would have bought Loreal. That's what I think of it.
Anyway watch an application video on this page

If so, does it work well? Give me the pro's and con's if at all possible.
Thanks!Do you use Neutrogena liquid mineral foundation?
NO, I don't. But I don't see how a liquid would work , unless what they're using is absolutley pure - that means not a trace of petroleum or bismuth.black hair

What is the best way to apply mineral powder foundation?
it's best to use a powder brush when you apply it, dip it in the powder, tap of excess which is important of else it will cake in the spot you put it on first. it's best to work from the outside of your face inWhat is the best way to apply mineral powder foundation?
Take your Powder brush or my favorite, MAC 187 brush and gently grab some powder.
Then hold it upright so that the brushes are facing up and use your fingernails and just tap the brush so all the powder gets into the bristles.
Then starting dusting it all over your face.
Good Luck! =)What is the best way to apply mineral powder foundation?
Dip the end of a fluffy brush into the mineral powder, tap the brush on the side of the container to knock off all the excess, and apply to face using a circular motion with a light hand!
tap some into the lid;
put the brush in it;
tap the side getting off access poweder.
work it onto your face,
repeating this process the whole way.
if you dont you will look fake and some of your skin will be darker than others..
I usually put some in the cap or on a flat surface then put some on the brush, shake the excess off, then as your applying it, move the brush in circles until its all blended in.

I have oily skin around my nose, what could I do to make my mineral foundation last longer?
I'm using Everyday minerals. If there are other great mineral foundations availible at drugstores, please list them =]I have oily skin around my nose, what could I do to make my mineral foundation last longer?
get bio minerals. they're better. google them, if you don't know what they are.
use face wash. it washes out your pores. i don't have much of a problem with acne, but i do use acne wash. because the acid they put in it, cleans out your pores. and prevents break outs. i know what you mean about oily skin around your nose, face wash helps with that too.
foundation works well, if you don't use a whole bunch. I have oily skin around my nose, what could I do to make my mineral foundation last longer?
minerals typically are not the best type of foundation for oily skin. Granted they are better for your skin than harsh chemicals, however, as far as looks go, the minerals tend to gather/streak where the oil is. Try a different approach for light coverage like minerals give.
Mix a dab of mattifying moisturiser with a regular liquid foundation. This will give you light coverage and help with your oil slicks.
you can basically use you minerals on your skin to make them last long without spending so much on expensive ones such as bare essentials. Apply your moisturizer/face lotion first..then the minerals. the lotion/moisturizer will help grab onto the minerals..thus making it hold on longer. hope this helps..
what foundation do you use well i'll tell you its a avon product and it really helps like why don't you use avon foundation its really soft and stays for 20 hours you better try this

Does Bare Escentuals mineral foundation make acne go away?
I've always used oil free liquid foundation and my acne breakouts were erratic - sometimes good skin, sometimes bad. Does B.E. mineral foundation make acne go away or is it some marketing scam?
What's a better choice:
1. Bare Minerals Foundation spf 15
2. Revlon ColorStay with Clinique's City Block Sunscreen under it?Does Bare Escentuals mineral foundation make acne go away?
Bare Escentuals has a product in it that is supposed to be anti-inflammatory, so it might take away the redness, and using such a dense brush might exfoliate a bit, but honestly, foundation is foundation. It still has the potential to break you out. The only marketing scam which is completely untrue is the part that it's safe to sleep in. Under no circumstances should you sleep in your foundation.
I think the Revlon Color Stay is a really good product, so it really depends on your personal taste. If you've tried MAC's Studio Fix Fluid and liked it, you'd like the Color Stay too. Bare Minerals is definitely worth a try though, but my personal suggestion is to try the Bare Minerals at Sephora, walk around, see how you like it for the day, then another day try out MAC's Studio Fix Fluid. Walk around for the day, see how you like it, then give your own verdict.
(I personally like the Color Stay better because I have dry skin.)
Good luck!Does Bare Escentuals mineral foundation make acne go away?
Omg i just bought Revlon Colorstay today %26amp; ive gotta tell you to buy it! It has to be the best makeup ive had! It does stay on for a long long time. As far as sunscreen ive heard that 15 spf isn't gonna do you much good. Go for 20 or 30 depending on your skin tone.
It doesn't make acne go away for people that are naturally acne prone... if your breakouts are caused by liquid foundation... MAYBE.
Revlon ColorStay is ok... but don't use the mineral one. That one sucks.

';normal'; make-up seeps into the skin, clogs pores, and aggravates acne. mineral make-up sits on the skin, it doesn't get absorbed by the body, it just washes off at night. it also looks much more natural. bare minerals has won several awards for healthiest make-up brand, and is the only brand recommended by the national skincancer foundation, because it is actually good for the skin, and has a natural spf 15. check out your options at ulta, sephora, macy's, or nordstrom stores, to see, what works best on your skin.I don't want to use mineral make up or mineral foundation. Aren't you a guy??? Anyway, just so you know, mineral-based makeup IS the healthiest makeup for your skin becuz it's natural. To help with damage makeup causes, use a good cleanser and moisturizer 2x a day.
Keep your skin clean and protected at all times especially from your make up. I use a great product that has my skin flawless. Email me at nesa23us@yahoo for more info.
Mineral makeup does not clog your pores and will not harm your skin .
Use oil-free foundation with SPF, keep it light, and always wash it off before going to bed. Why don't you want to use mineral faoundation? I use Bare Minerals and i really like it.

If i wear mineral foundation, and then put on mineral translucent powder, wont that take off my foundation?
and does the minderal foundation actually stay on?
i reallly would love to switch to something better for my skin.If i wear mineral foundation, and then put on mineral translucent powder, wont that take off my foundation?
The mineral foundation stays on,
And the best thing about it (compared to liquid) is that it doesn't melt off your face!
When I have liquid foundation on for a lon time, after like 5-6 hours my face looks kinda nasty from foundation residue,
But when I wear mineral, it's not the case, which I love.
And it stays on, in fact, it will help it stay on!
That's because the powder keeps shine / oil away, and the oil won't be able to make your makeup come off if there is no oil, right? :)
It is better for your skin, in my opinion, because I don't think it clogs your pores as much or makes you break out or look cakey. (But if you put too much on you might look a bit dry -skinned)
Just make sure you don't believe that everything about mineral concealer is good, ahah :)If i wear mineral foundation, and then put on mineral translucent powder, wont that take off my foundation?
I assume you're using the powder foundation, in which case you don't need powder. If you're using the liquid the powder won't take off your foundation, in fact it will do the opposite!
You can't get much better for your skin than mineral foundation, but if you're looking for something anti ageing try F.A.C.E. Colorscience Foudation that contains retinol and vitamin A
http://www.twenga.com/dir-Health-Beauty,鈥?/a>
If you want to switch to a better foundation to your skin,
I recommended Neutrogena foundations, because they prevents breakout. It contacts salicylic acid, which helps fight the acne.
Mineral foundation doesn't stay on that long. They never give me enough coverage.
You should, put on mineral foundation - then a powder.
In my opinion it is better than the liquid. You apply it once in a day and at the end of the it is still on your face.
i wear mineral foundation i wear covergirl powder and i am light skined and then after me powder i wear maybelinne traslucent mineral veil on top and it wrks great on me so hopfully i answered your ?
I use Bare Minerals and use the Mineral veil on top of my foundation and it works great it actually helps the shine and makes you have a more polished look! It lasts! great for me !

What's the best mineral powder foundation out there?
I have heard of Sheer Cover, the one Leeza Gibbons endorses, but I don't want to order off the TV or Internet; so what's a good mineral powder foundation you can buy in the stores?
Thanks in Advance,
EmmyWhat's the best mineral powder foundation out there?
Bare Minerals IS THE BEST, for any type of skin, dry or oily or both. However the Starter kit costs around $60, which is a good deal because the brushes alone cost $60. The starter kit comes with the basics like the foundation and stuff. However, if the cost of the makeup is a big problem, then I believe that Purminerals is the 2nd best for only half the price. (around $39) There are Bare Minerals stores or you can go to the closest Ulta or Sephora in your area and they can match your skin tone. What's the best mineral powder foundation out there?
Bare Minerals is good. I use Micabella mineral makeup. I found it a kiosk in the mall. I don't use foundation much but they did a make over on me and I looked gorgeous. The best thing about the eye shadow powder is that you can use it as an eyeshadow, eyeliner, and a lip gloss. Its a little expensive but well worth it
Bare Minerals is what I use. Its light weight but its a four step process putting it on, there's not an exactly a certain color you get, their is 4 different powders and 3 different brushes to use to put it on, the whole thing comes with a dvd to teach you how to use it, after a while of using it it only takes me 10 minutes to do my whole face.
Its so light weight you forget you have it on, it doesnt even look like you have any make up on yet your face is all covered up.
i hope i helped!

What's the best makeup face brush for mineral foundation?
I recently bought Laura Mercier's mineral foundation but am looking for a face brush. Does anyone know if the LM $40 brush that's supposed to go with this powder is good quality? I thought it was a little rough, though better than BareEscentuals, which was horribly rough. What's a quality face brush brand and what kind of hair is the best??What's the best makeup face brush for mineral foundation?
i've been using bare escentuals natural, soft brushes for 6 years, if you clean them regularly, they stay soft. any kabuki brush works with mineral powder foundation, try it out on you skin, before you buy, to make sure, they feel soft to you. What's the best makeup face brush for mineral foundation?
The professional brush kits at Bee-Luscious are really good. They ARE professional quality brushes. These are the ones I use and I think they are some of the highest quality brushes I have ever bought. Look up Bee-Luscious at www.beeroyalproducts.com.
I use mac's 182 kabuki brush or too faced kabuki brush!
Check out the brushes at Bee Luscious. I know it says they are not available till after the first of the month but I went ahead and ordered them and they came in like a week. They are awesome just like everything else I have gotten from them.black hair

No, I have not tried it but I just keep trying different foundations until I find one I like .I personally found a new one that I like and I am sticking to it.It works for me.
It really depends on your skin. One of my friends swears by it, but when I used it, I really didn't care for it.

here's just one way to tell:

What brush do i use for mineral foundation?
there are so many to choose from! i just want a brush that will evenly distributed my mineral foundation. i'm not really interested in mac brushes because they are expensive. i'm looking at crownbrush.com or coastal scents italian badger brushes [even though their shipping cost is too high].
i have bare mineral brushes but i'm looking for something different.
ahh so much to choose from X[What brush do i use for mineral foundation?
If you are looking for a drugstore brand, Essence of Beauty from CVS makes really good brushes. I use one for my blush, but all else I use Bare Minerals. I use the Handy Buki and I think it evenly distributes, but also the Flawless Radiance Brush is great! What brush do i use for mineral foundation?
just go to walmart or a drug store, and get the biggest brush you see.
it works. you dont need anything too fancy. dont waste your money. trust me i would know. all you need is the right size, and nothing too rough on the skin.
A kabuki brush from Essence of Beauty is supposed to be very good and it retails at CVS for around 10$. Look in Sephora for a good brand.

What is the best mineral makeup foundation for oil control?
I have very oily skin and have tried everything. I have mineral foundation by Every Day Minerals but I find it makes my skin more oily... Please help... Also I don't want to pay to much and it CAN NOT be test on animals and has to be vegan (not animal byproducts)What is the best mineral makeup foundation for oil control?
neutrogena mineral sheers
THEY DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS
you can also look on the sephora website- they will have lots of options for youWhat is the best mineral makeup foundation for oil control?
I have combination oily skin, but in the areas where I do have oil, foundation coverage has always been an issue. I use the mineral powder from Maybelline. It is less than $10 and does a wonderful job of giving a clean, finished, and natural look. Plus, it does not irritate the oily areas or make it worse. I always had my doubts about mineral makeup, but this stuff is wonderful! Also comes in a range of shades to best match your skin tone.
it could be that ur skin is dry and u over wash it so it produces more oil so it isn't dry. it could be that its not the make up at all. try diff face washes that are gentle on ur skin and a lite face moisturizer b4 u apply ur foundation.
bare minerals works wonders... doesnt clog pores, wont cause break out, no dry irrateted skin, it makes u look lik its all natural( no fake stuff pu on to ur face) and it doesnt test on animals.
You should check on the PETA website under their ';do not test on animals'; category. They have a zillion websites listed, and indicate which ones are vegan.
e.l.f. sells mineral foundation for only $5 in a variety of shades. e.l.f. supports PETA and does not test on animals (says on every product page).
I advise that you try it, I love it and it's pretty good for oil control. Washing and cleansing your face first (if you don't already) always helps with oil too.
Here's the page where you can purchase it:

You want to find a product that has a high content of Talc. It is the main ingredient in Powder and 1000s of other products, but it will absorb oils/water and functions as a minor lotion to sooth the skin.

Do you think mineral foundation will help me prevent having breakouts ?
Hi, I'm a makeup artist at Sephora and would be happy to address your concern. I use Laura Mercier. She is known for her ';flawless face'; line. There are 4 simple steps to achieve this look.
Step 1: Use Foundation Primer to smooth and prep the skin.
Step 2: Apply foundation. Choose the formula you like based on your skin type and the coverage that you want. To cover imperfections, I recommend a liquid foundation because it covers more. I would only wear this when I have many blemishes. On a daily basis I would wear a powder foundation.
Step 3: Apply concealer. Again, choose the formula you like based on your skin type and the coverage that you want.
Step 4: Use Loose Setting Powder. This will make the makeup last longer and adds a nice glow to your face.

I know you only wanted suggestions for mineral foundation, but being so satisfied with my use of Laura Mercier and her products, I had to share my product knowledge with you so you can at least know about it. It would be wonderful if you tried it! =)
The line is pricey, but the results are worth it. If you feel this is too costly for you, try Bare Escentuals. A lot of my girlfriends use it, and they all love it! They have a Starter Kit that would be perfect for you to try. It is a great value too.
Here's a link:

They have it in different colors too.
I hope this helped! Feel free to come in for a free consultation. Also, don't be afraid to ask for samples, everyone does. Good luck! =)Do you think mineral foundation will help me prevent having breakouts ?
Mineral makeup is awesome. I don't recommend Bare Minerals though, if you tend to break out. It contains Bismuth, which a lot of people complain has given them acne/irritation. There are so many more gentle mineral makeup companies out there: www.everydayminerals.com, www.laminerals.com, www.lumierecosmetics.com and the list goes on and on! I am still trying out samples from all these companies.Do you think mineral foundation will help me prevent having breakouts ?
Well let me put it this way.
I used to wear regular powder...which deff made me break out.
but mineral stuff is awesome. it actually cleared my breakouts. I even wear it to work out in, and i dont break out.
you just have to be careful because i has a tenancy to make your face dry...so use oil free moisturizer. yeah it's awesome.
it doesn't have all the junk in it that regular foundation does so it won't make you break out anymore then you do without makeup. so keep up a regular skin routine along with the makeup!
no it wont it is just less damaging than the regular makeup.

What the best way to apply Maybelline pure mineral liquid foundation?
I've never applied liquid foundation or foundation by my self. I have no idea what to do or how to apply it or what with. What the best way to apply Maybelline pure mineral liquid foundation?
try applying some make up base or good moisturiser first then for liquid foundation apply a bit to a make up sponge (usually get 6 in a pack) and apply to the face ensuring you spread evenly. Make sure u do this in the right light and lift your head to ensure you get along the jaw line and top part of the neck so you dont end up with those awful streaks. If you have dark areas around the eyes use a concealer and blend with the finger tips.
Another good foundation is the small jars of mousse foundation i.e. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation or Avon do a good one also. they are good for all skin types and can be applied with a foundation brush.
Make sure you soak the sponges in warm soapy water every once in a while to clean them. What the best way to apply Maybelline pure mineral liquid foundation?
Put 1 blob on each cheek a blob on your fore head and a little bit on your cheek and then blend outwards until it all looks even. i love that stuff it makes your skin look so healthy.black hair

What's the difference between concealer and foundation (mineral powder)?
I know what they're for, I'm just wondering...is there a difference in consistency? To me, they're all just ground up colored powders and can be used for anything (eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, lip color, foundation, concealer), so why give them different names if they're all just colored powders? What's the difference between concealer and foundation (mineral powder)?
Nope, there's no universal difference in consistency between concealer and foundation. Concealer is normally just more opaque than foundation.
When it comes to powder anything, yeah some makeup is interchangeable, like using an eyeliner to fill in your eyebrows or something, but the only thing that you should be careful about is that sometimes it can only be safe to use as they're labeled. There could be ingredients in an eyeliner to make it last longer or be more suitable for staying on your eyes that could make you kinda sick if you ingest it. Same situation with a lip liner being used as an eyeliner, it could have ingredients that are able to be ingested, but could sting the crap out of your eyes.
It really does depend on the individual product whether it can be used interchangeably with another product though. Good luck! What's the difference between concealer and foundation (mineral powder)?
usually concealer is of a thicker consistency -- used to cover blemishes (i.e. acne scars, dark circles) its very anti-imperfection. powdered foundation is usually better for people with a clearer complexion that are looking for an even tone. liquid foundation is usually used for more coverage to cover imperfections as well.

Should i use finishing powder if i use mineral foundation?
should i use finishing powder if i use mineral foundation? and whats the difference between finishing and translucent powder?Should i use finishing powder if i use mineral foundation?
yes you should use a finishing powder over your mineral foundation. The reason being is the finishing powder sets your mineral foundation in place. Also, if throughout the day your skin get a little shiny/oily or if it gets humid outside, instead of piling on more of the foundation , you can just brush on the finishing powder to reset your whole look. The difference between a finishing powder and a translucent powder is that finishing powder is something that goes over your foundation to set your makeup in place and can be reapplied without looking ';cakey';. A translucent powder is one that someone may use instead of foundation or powder, for those who have perfect/nearly perfect skin use this who don't have a lot of coverage needs-evening out skin tone. hope this helped you!Should i use finishing powder if i use mineral foundation?
I use bare escentuals mineral foundation and they sell mineral veil which is a finishing powder. I like to use them both. If I were you, I would try to find a mineral finishing powder, I think it would defeat the purpose of using the mineral foundation if you don't. I don't think that there is a difference in finishing powder and translucent powder. But make sure you get one with no color in it like the mineral veil.
I use bare escentuals also and have never used the finishing powder...i love the healthy glow it gives and also i have never needed to as the make up is set all day long and stays fresh and on my face lol.
i think they are one in the same. they are meant to keep your makeup in place and ';set'; it. you can use it if you have a long day, it'll help your makeup last longer so you don't have to touch up so often.

Have you ever tried the Avon mineral foundation powder?
Or the avon cleansing products?
If so , how did you like it?Have you ever tried the Avon mineral foundation powder?
No. A coupla days ago, I bought some of L'Oreal's Bare Naturale Mineral foundation/powder and I do like it. Next time I probably will get the Bare Minerals Line. But I'll never go back to liquid foundation stuff.
You have to practice to apply it correctly; it's applied a little differently than liquid foundation.Have you ever tried the Avon mineral foundation powder?
I have tried the Avon mineral powder a while back. I think it worked pretty well, I'm just not a mineral makeup fan. I had some acne and it just looked cakey to me. That was with acouple products I have tried though. I LOVE their cleansing products. They're very nice and not harsh at all.
No but i think u should steer clear of it.
When I looked at the ingredients there were tons of chemicals and ';non mineral'; ingredients on the list.
I'd steer clear of it. I use LA Minerals and love it. pure minerals, great coverage, price, etc...

What do you think about marykay mineral powder foundation?
I use bare minerals and i am breaking out so bad. I think i am allergic to bismuth so i need something without it. Should i give mary kay a try? Thank youWhat do you think about marykay mineral powder foundation?
I personally dont like MaryKay. Check this site out, it offers bismuth free mineral makeup
http://www.sheermiracle.com/?gclid=CMXXv鈥?/a>
Allergies to makeup can develop overtime, but also it might not be an allergy. Changes in diet, stress and hormonal imbalances can also cause breakouts. Try to see if perhaps it isn't any of the above, because you might not even have an allergy.
And always drink plenty of water to get great skin. What do you think about marykay mineral powder foundation?
Mary Kay also uses Bismuth Oxychloride. If you want the best mineral foundation that is natural and will actually help breakouts while you wear it, you have to try Faerie Organic Minerals. They are all natural, they DO NOT contain Bismuth Oxychloride and they contain Boron Nitride (a mineral that is antibacterial and can actually help breakouts while you wear it). Acne.org has a high amounts of compliments on their minerals and they have a free sample kit so you can try it out for yourself. I personally love them because they have the best of both worlds, they cover great, leave a dewy glow and help acne. I have been using their foundation for over 2 years. Their website is http://www.faerieorganic.com

What is the best type of affordable mineral foundation?
i heard bare esscentuals gives some people problems and makes them break out cause of the Bismuth...i heard Pur Minerals also have Bismuth,,,i heard Lure Minerals is bismuth free and is afforable...what do you think?
oh yeah i'm 16..and i have the typical teenage acne i guessWhat is the best type of affordable mineral foundation?
Everyday minerals. Extremely cheap, good quality, and you can get a free sample kit off the website. The samples last a pretty long time for being samples, and they don't have bismuth. I definitely suggest you get the sample kit. You only have to pay for shipping and its only like 3 dollars. You really have nothing to lose. Hope this helps! What is the best type of affordable mineral foundation?
If you have acne, try a foundation that clears blemishes, I know Neutrogena has a foundation with this aspect... I've never used any though.
I use powder instead of foundation, and I currently am using Almay's clear complexion powder, it works amazingly. It has salicylic acid, which helps clear blemishes, so probably any foundation with that ingredient would be good.
Hope this helps!
I ordered one online then switched to Mary Kay. You can get a free makeover on line by uploading your photo. Mary Kay was less than the one I ordered. After that i signed up once again to sell Mary Kay. I try to go natural when I can. Check out my website.

Should I get maybelline mineral power foundation powder or physicians formula?
I have dry skin, but in my T-zone i have oily skin. I need a natural look. Which one lasts longer and is good for my skin type?Should I get maybelline mineral power foundation powder or physicians formula?
I've found that physician's formula is good for sensitive skin, but it loos really unnatural and cakey.
I've never used maybelline mineral powder, but I'd go with that.

Girls; I wear loose mineral powder over mineral foundation, thats fine right?
I do it because it hels blend it in better to me.Girls; I wear loose mineral powder over mineral foundation, thats fine right?
I do that too. I find the powder evens out my complexion, especially if I missed a spot with my foundation. If you don't find the right powder colour it can make your face look darker than you want. That's one of the only real problems I've ever faced.
I don't find the powder lasts all that long on me as I sweat throughout my shift at work. I usually have to touch-up on a break or at lunch.Girls; I wear loose mineral powder over mineral foundation, thats fine right?

I think mineral make-up is fantastic! For years i've struggled to find the right make-up, but foundation just made me red and gave me breakouts of spots.

Is mineral foundation supposed to contain talc?
It's not supposed to, but some do. However, I personally feel that this technically take away the ';mineral'; label, but that's me.
There are too many mineral foundations which don't contain talc, for you to work with one which does.Is mineral foundation supposed to contain talc?
noo
well i looked at the ingredients for everyday minerals (everydayminerals.com)
and it said they were talc free.

Does Maybelline mineral powder foundation work for dark circles?
I've heard that mineral powders can cover dark circles, but they are all way too expensive for me except for the maybelline type. Normally to cover my dark circles I need concealer and foundation, and it's a huge fuss that takes too long in the morning, so I was wondering if I could use just mineral makeup instead, or mineral makeup along with concealer.
Also, if I were to use the mineral powder, would it work better than pressed powder?Does Maybelline mineral powder foundation work for dark circles?
Don't bother with foundation it doesn't work as well as concealer does. I have very dark circles too and I use 2 inexpesive products: First apply Covergirl Advanced Radiance concealer, it's yellow based and is designed to cover up dark circles around the eye area, then apply Covergirl Fresh Complexion over the top and blend it in to your foundation, make sure you select a colour lighter than your foundation/skin tone, this makes it look less yellow and should completely hide your dark circles.
Its also very inexpensive, I paid about $10 for each and I was very happy :) If you don't want it to look cakey, add a little bit of moisturiser to the second concealer, this makes it very sheer and smooth on your skin.Does Maybelline mineral powder foundation work for dark circles?
Hello!
I too was unsure about the mineral makeup until I finally tried the Maybelline mineral makeup line. I must say that it DOES work! I am really happy with the foundation. It covers everything really well, but since you have dark circles, you will need to use the mineral concealer from Maybelline as well. It comes in a very small bottle and is found next to the mineral foundation. I havent tried it, but if it works as well as the foundation, then it should do the trick! There is also eyeshadow in the mineral makeup as well!
Hope this helps!
Mineral powder does work..I use...either Jane mineral powder or avon...avon has decent priced mineral make up and works really well...I usually use a cheap concealer for my dark circles..I just touch it up a little then use the mineral powder on my face..It works really well. I have dark circles too..it's genetic..My dad has them and so does my brother and I. They will never go away for me!
idk for sure but if you were wondering where the cause of dark circles is eather allergies or not enougth sleep if you have allergies consult your doct. i did and they gave me singalar and that cured my dark circles and yes mineral powder is better than pressed powder.
no, its best just to use concealer. i have the powder and if u put it under ur eyes it sort of glings to the undereyes and makes it worse. but otherwise its really good. i use it over tinted moisturiser. hope i helped x
Yes it works very well, my mom and i have dark rings around our eyes and when we use it, the rings are unnoticeableblack hair

Yes it works very well, my mom and i have dark rings around our eyes and when we use it, the rings are unnoticeable
Would benefit high beam work with mineral foundation?
if i wore the high beam underneath.Would benefit high beam work with mineral foundation?
of course! don't think of mineral foundation as any different than you're regular foundation, in that it can't be used together with other makeup. the only difference with mineral makeup is the ingredients really. know that you can mix and match everthing!Would benefit high beam work with mineral foundation?
Of course ... mineral makeup is just a powder foundation. In fact, a lot of powders contain all the same things as mineral makeup. I use Smashbox primer under mineral makeup everyday to make it last longer. High beam would be a-ok.

I want to try mineral powder and I wanted to know if this is a good brand to try.Has anyone tried Nicole Millers mineral foundation?
TaTTooeD_QueeN, you sound very stuck-up and inconsiderate. Everything doesn't revolve around MAC, there are lots of other good brands.
No, I haven't tried their brand but I've heard of it. Go on makeupalley.com for reviews.Has anyone tried Nicole Millers mineral foundation?

Liquid or cream or powder foundation or tinted moisturizer or mineral foundation?
what is your favorite and why? what type of skin do you have? and are you in your early 20s?
what type of foundation is best?Liquid or cream or powder foundation or tinted moisturizer or mineral foundation?
Early 20's, normal to oily skin... and I LOVE mineral make-up. It makes your face look so much more natural and not shiny.
Don't use foundation with it. It's icky anyway and it clogs your pores.Liquid or cream or powder foundation or tinted moisturizer or mineral foundation?
I've tried compressed powder (wore it for a while), foundation (hated it), but I ADORE mineral powder, the coverage is FANTASTIC, even with the cheap stuff.
My skin is kinda light beige, not fair. I have completely clear skin, but your usual redness imperfections in some places.
And I'm 19.
Sheer Cover and Bare Essentials is the hot stuff on the market, but I use physician's formula, which is like $10, and I like it, been using it for 2 years. L'Oreal stuff is also very nice, better quality.
Its my fave because foundation is gunky/gets thick when you sweat and after you wear it for a while, it often clogs pore easily and doesn't let skin breathe.
Compressed powder tends to highlight dry imperfections on the skin because the little sponge that comes with the compact gives you a straight up thick layer of powder.
Mineral powder has light reflective elements, its loose, which allows for a very nice, polished finish since you can apply with a kabuki-type brush, you can really control the amount that goes on your face. And its my opinion that it highlights dry spots less than other powder does, which is nice.
I'm 24. From the age of 16 I was using liquid foundation. It was working fine until about my very early 20's, I started getting bad breakouts. I stopped using liquid foundation all together back in July and started using Smoky Mountain Minerals foundation. No breakouts at all, and I know it's because I stopped using the liquid, messy, drugstore crap and started using a good mineral makeup. Unlike Bare Minerals and a lot of other popular mineral makeup brands, Smoky Mountain Minerals has no bismuth oxychloride, which a lot of people have bad reactions to. It covers well, it's not as expensive as Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover, and it doesn't have a bunch of useless fillers like the others. I really do love it, and I will neverrrr go back to liquid.
I am in my early twenties and I use liquid foundation personally. However I always make sure that I use a primer with my make-up before applying anything else on my face.
Powder foundation or products such as Bare Minerals are a powder/mineral which means that they can very easily crease. Most of my clients often complained of using such products and seeing noticeable lines around their mouth where they smile.
A tinted moisturizer would be great to use if you have exceptionally great skin and just want a little glow.
I was not blessed with such skin which is why I love liquid foundation since I get perfect coverage and it lasts all day.
mineral foundation, I have fair, sensitive skin that sometimes gets a little bit dry and doesn't react well to tons of makeup, and I'm 19
it covers really well and I've found that with my skin color at least, it's the only stuff that doesn't look orange
I also like tinted moisturizer, but I usually make my own by adding a little bit of liquid foundation to some moisturizer/sunscreen (it keeps the color light enough for me)
I started using Bareminerals when I was 25. I had dry skin and oily skin on my forehead. I also had really bad acne. I like the Bareminerals because it didn't clog my pores, didn't dry out my skin, and did absorb the access oil on my forehead. It gives a clean smooth polished look without that icky caked on feeling. I also LOVE the fact that it looks natural on my skin and I don't get that gross make-up line along my chin. I have clearer skin to and when I do happen to get a break out it covers it completely! It also doesn't sweat off or get icky like liquid make-up will in humidity.
i have dry/sensitive skin so i use Moisture foundation (liquid) which i buy from The Body Shop. It has SPF 15 in it to, which is great as i have very fair skin.
I like liquid foundation the best. Because i have dry skin, powder makes my skin look drier, but liquid gives me that 'smooth' look.
I buy from the body shop because they dont test on animals, the money goes to a good cause and because they gave me a mini makeover to help me choose which make up is best for my skin type (it was free too)
i'm 19 btw. 20 in a month! yay!
i personaly use mineral foundation powder, i dont like liquid foundation i dont feel its right for me as im quite pale and can make me look orange!
im 19 btw :) i have normal skin

What's a good mineral foundation that's fairly cheap?
I currently wear a regular cover-up. It's like a stick cover-up. I kinda like it but it doesn't look very natural and after a while it always tends to bulid-up around my eyes. People even tell me to fix my make-up because of the build-up and it's annoying. My sister told me that I should get a mineral foundation because it looks natural and goes on better. It's also better for your skin. I want to get a mineral foundation but I hear it's expensive. Does anybody know of a good, but cheap one that I could get? What's a good mineral foundation that's fairly cheap?
everyday minerals......cheaper then bare mineralsWhat's a good mineral foundation that's fairly cheap?
Try Bare Minerals. A little pricey but it is a really good brand.
well i heard bail minearals was cheap and it works it makes you look 10 years younger
I tried Physicians Formula minerals make up. It has a little brush with it, you have to tap off the excess on the brush before applying. I liked the way it felt, but took it back because it was too dark for my skin tone. (I am very fair) Their lightest color was too dark for me. So I got the face brightener. It is a pressed powder of lots of different colors. It really looks good.

What is the mineral makeup foundation with the best coverage?
I've tried the JANE mineral foundation, and it's a great price, but I don't think it does a great job of evening out my skin tone. I have looked at Bare Minerals and Bare Escentuals, but they are kinda pricey. Is it worth it? Which one is best? What is the mineral makeup foundation with the best coverage?
Spending a ton of money on makeup won't guarantee quality; more often than not you're just paying for the name. Anyway I use Physician's Formula (can be found at Wal-Mart) and I couldn't be happier with it. If you want to look at more reviews to make a more educated decision, try www.makeupalley.com. I go there whenever I want to try a new product. What is the mineral makeup foundation with the best coverage?
I use Everyday Minerals, very good product and it's affordable. For a small jar its $5, and a large one its $12. It works just as good as the expensive stuff.
http://www.everydayminerals.com
bare minerals is a bare escentuals brand. it covers well, doesn't melt off, and looks %26amp; feels natural. the foundation costs 25.00 and lasts me about one year, with daily use; that's 2.08 a month, which is cheaper than any drug store make-up in the long run.
Bare Minerals !!! I love it. Be sure to get the right brushes. The bookie (sp) brush is a must for a full yet natural looking coverage. I have used expensive make up all of my life. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Bare Minerals. I don't find it to be expensive at all. It stays on all day, no touch up needed. It's like wearing no make up. Just try it. If you don't like it, ship it back. They will refund your money...NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Good luck.
Bare Minerals is really good, keep in mind that you usually get what you pay for. Hence, why your cheap stuff didn't work very well.
I use bare minerals and I absolutely love it!!
It works really well it covers up everything but it still looks super natural.
bare minerals. =]
its pricey but the self esteem you get out of it is great!
nah i saw on the tv ads there is a products called 'sheercover.
all the celebs are using it and it looks solololo natural, believe me. order online today!black hair

How can i get this look with mineral foundation?
http://i34.tinypic.com/awf68j.jpg
what exactly would i need to have my makeup like hers?
besides the pink lip gloss, what would you recommend i wear if i'm a tad darker than her? How can i get this look with mineral foundation?
I'm personally not a big fan of Bare Minerals because they use bismuth oxychloride in their makeup. I'm pretty sure Sheer Cover does as well. I've been using Smoky Mountain Minerals for about a month now, and I really think everyone should try it. My skin is very fair and acne-prone, and this stuff hasn't broken me out at all, which is amazing. It feels like silk when you put it on. I know that sounds corny, and when I read some testimonials where other people said that I thought it was kinda lame...but it really does. It's much less expensive than Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover. You can get a starter kit from their website or ebay for less than $20. It comes with 3 shades of foundation, a blush, black powder eyeshadow (when applied wet, makes a really great liquid liner), a mineral veil, and some glow stuff that is supposed to blur any imperfections, though I haven't really used that much, and a small kabuki brush for application. Oh, and concealer. Seriously try it out. It's pretty great.
www.smokymountainminerals.comHow can i get this look with mineral foundation?
well first you would need a mineral foundation. such as bare minerals or maybelline mineral power. and a finishing powder. from bare minerals [mineral veil], maybelline mineral power [ finishing veil], or everyday minerals finishing powder.
then you would need a cream liner. i suggest loreal hip cream liner, jane gel liner, or mac fluid line. all in black. and then you would create the desired effect with a liner brush. and at the very top use a pencil brush to dust on some shimmery blue shadow.
and you would do the foundation and bronzer then after that set with finishing powder, then do the eyes, [desired lips], and mascara.
1st. you would need a mineral powder, like mineral power, its the best.it covers everything!
2nd.you need a bluch that is definetely not too dark or anything.i heard that mineral power blush works good.and it is mineral powder.so its good for your skin.
3rd.you need liquid eyeliner like prestige.
4th.yu need a regular eyeliner, any kind that floats your boat.
5th.you need to flare out the eyeliner, kind of like cateyes.
6th.you need to pick any kind of vanillaish eyeshadow,or once again whatever floats your boat!
hope i helped!
and if you need more help all you need to do is look at the picture and look at some makeup!

Is Bare Escentuals Mineral foundation really any better than Loreal or Revlon's mineral makeup?
if so , what is the difference? Is Bare Escentuals Mineral foundation really any better than Loreal or Revlon's mineral makeup?
I'd go with Bare Escentuals. See if you can get your hand on one of their tutorials. You will be hooked when you see the difference.
I have been using it for over 2 years now and I wouldn't go a day without it.Is Bare Escentuals Mineral foundation really any better than Loreal or Revlon's mineral makeup?
Ive read all kinds of mixed reviews on all different kinds of mineral makeup and so i bought Dinair Airbrush Makeup and it is amazing! it covers extremely well! Its stays on all day and is all water based so it not bad for your skin. If you got to google and type in Dinair you'll find their site
Yes! It's better for your skin and it lasts longer and covers better, smoother.
its better for your skin but the coverage is the same.
Yes. it is an all around better formula and is healthier for your skin.

I'd like to find out because I really don't want to spend alot of $$$ on the bare minerals powder foundation. Is Maybelline mineral powder foundation just as good as the bare minerals you see like on tv?
hey, well i havent yoused the bare minerals but i have the mineral powder by maybelline and it works just great and its really good i dont care how bare minerals is cause this is all i need they give you a brush to put it on with as wellIs Maybelline mineral powder foundation just as good as the bare minerals you see like on tv?
are you kidding me??? my answer OWNED! this is garbage. Report Abuse
ok well first off mineral makeup is very light coverage, it will cover minimal redness but will not cover scars, acne,or any blemishes on the face.
if all you need is very light coverage the the best mineral makeup is bare minerals, get the box for starters that they sell at ULTA. dont buy any of the drugstore mineral makeups by maybelline, physicians formula,loreal...or any of those....they dont work at all.
what i recommend is what i use Prestige powder foundation that you can find at any drugstore for $7....easy to swipe right on with the puff thats included %26amp; the coverage is great! covers acne, redness, undereye circles...everything...%26amp; does not break you out.
Hope this helps!!
unless they have the exsact same ingeridents. they both are better at different thngs but i would say they are just as good.
I like the l'Oreal mineral based makeup best. I tried the Bare Minerals but I found that it made my pores look enormous.
i have bare minerials and it works wonders; never tryed the other stuff.
I have the bare minerals and love it. .. Never tried the other stuff.

Does anyone know any good mineral foundation that can be found in drugstores?
do you guys know any good mineral foundations that are sold in drugstores (preferably CVS pharmacy)?? one that covers acne scars very well and lasts long.
thanks!!! :DDoes anyone know any good mineral foundation that can be found in drugstores?
I use Loreal Paris Bare Naturale and i have acne scars too. It works great but can be somewhat expensive...It is worth it in the end though.
How it use it is i put lotion on first then just a few liquid cover up dabs on problem areas...and the Bare Naturale does the rest!
It looks very...well Natural if you get the right color. They also have blush or bronzer and both are amazing!
Hope this helps a bit! Cheers!Does anyone know any good mineral foundation that can be found in drugstores?

Has anyone tried that new mineral foundation?
The one by Loreal, I think? What did you think?Has anyone tried that new mineral foundation?
Although a lot of mineral makeup is great, like the kind Bare Escentuals makes, many drug store brands suck, primarily because they've got a lot of junk before the minerals come into play. For example, if the first couple of ingredients are Mica or talc, your face can break out, minerals or not. I'd spend the dough for some ';department store/Sephora'; mineral make up; it's worth it! Do a search for Glo Minerals - great stuff, and it has SPF!Has anyone tried that new mineral foundation?
my sis loves it
I got the one from Neutrogena, and I hate it! First off, the whole label came off when I opened it so I couldn't return it. It was $12! Then, it is absolutely invisible and does not cover dark circles or anything. It does nothing at all except make my skin feel oiler and my eyes itch after I've put it on. The Neutrogena package looked cool, because it was all self-contained and portable, but I regret buying it. I don't want to try the other kind anymore either.
I HAVE THE BARE ECENTUALS WORKS GREAT AND I BOUGHT THE NEUTROGENA ONE ,I LIKE IT TOO,ITS LIGHTER COVERAGE,YOU NEED TO APPLY ANY CONCEALER FIRST THEN APPLY
Sheer Cover has worked well for me. I have red undertones in my skin and it covers well.

How big is L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation?
I'm wondering how much powder you get in the bare natural mineral foundation? I use about a ';bead size';of actual foundation ( about 25% of a dime) how long do you think it would last for me?If you have ever used it, does your face get greasy and shiny quickly? and how long does that ';fresh look'; last? and please post any other comments that you have !How big is L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation?
I purchase this make up and have had no complaints if you use 25% of a dime it should still last you a while I have had mine for about a month and am getting low so i would say you should be able to use it about the same amount of time keep im mind that it comes with a specail brush so you dont have to used as much my skin stay really fresh and shine free all day and i have oily sking i only have to touch it up once if that a day the fresh look does last a long time like i said but it does depend on what you are doing well you have it on

Which Bare Mineral Foundation should I buy?
I wear ';Nude Beige'; in Clinique, so i'm not sure which one is closest to that color in the bare mineral line.Which Bare Mineral Foundation should I buy?
i dont like them at all. its too powdery and it doesnt cover imperfections
i would only recommend bare minerals if you wanted a very light cover for every day use other than that go for a liquidWhich Bare Mineral Foundation should I buy?
Cover Girl
none. it sucks. like really. it comes out powdery on your skin and its not worth the price.
i agree, it's too overhyped and priced. save your money.
