What are the pro's and cons of using mineral foundation / makeup??

I have been seeing many of these types of products being advertised on qvc and on infomercial. What do you think of them??What are the pro's and cons of using mineral foundation / makeup??
PRO:I absolutely LOVE mineral make-up, and QVC does have the best deals on Bare Essentials, Ive never tryed any other brands though, but BE is great! Its natural, contains no preservatives, and feels great on your skin! I use the foundation and the Mineral Veil and sometimes the bisque.

CON:If you need extra coverage (acne or redness)

Id recommend the bisque because the foundation on its own is pretty light coverage.

I definatly recomend trying mineral makeupWhat are the pro's and cons of using mineral foundation / makeup??
I use them, I have never loved a foundation more

How do you use the neutrogena powder foundation mineral sheer?

Can I have an opinion on L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation?

is it good? I don't have visible blemishes on my face, and my complexion is really pale, so I want to try a darker color. Can I have an opinion on L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation?
I've been using this for over a year and I love it!!! Don't waste your money on the Bare Minerals, it's all the same stuff anyway. As far as trying a darker color, try the arm test first. Test it out on a small part on the underside of your arm. The good thing about this stuff is it blends really well. Don't get a color that's too dark and looks obviously fake. Then all you do is blend and make sure u get your neck area too.Can I have an opinion on L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation?
Don't waste your money. One of the ';minerals from the earth'; listed is corn starch.

Tried it - results were a cakey powdery look that accentuates all facial lines, facial hair and will not conceal any visible pores or imperfections. And the bristles on the concealer brush fall out in droves!! Report Abuse

I tried it and didn't like it. It was dry and hard to use. Then I ordered Bare Minerals and couldn't be happier! I love it! It is much more money but well worth it. don't waste your money on Bare naturale!

What's the difference between mineral foundation and normal foundation?

I %26lt;3 my mineral foundation! Its super good for your skin. And when you wear normal concealer it looks like you have a fake face on. With mineral stuff you look SUPER natural! I love it!What's the difference between mineral foundation and normal foundation?
Mineral foundation is healthier for your skin. It won't irritate your skin in any way. Also, it usually sits on your face well. Whereas normal foundation may cause breakouts and clogged pores. However, normal foundation may work better for others. What's the difference between mineral foundation and normal foundation?
I've attached an article on the differences between ';traditional'; liquid foundation and mineral foundation:

http://ezinearticles.com/?Mineral-Makeup鈥?/a>

Mineral foundation is makeup of almost the exact same ingredients as liquid or cream foundation, but it's smooth, powder form helps to generate maximum coverage, and a flawless finish. Mineral foundation also seems to have a wide variety of colors, which appeal to a broader audience.

Eyes Lips Face (E.L.F.) Cosmetics offers a very inexpensive mineral makeup line, which includes lipsticks, eyeliners, powders and foundations. I recommend you check them out if you're looking for an inexpensive (compared to Bare Escentuals or Maybelline) mineral makeup line.
Mineral foundations are better for your skin, I think most of them only have 5 minerals in them or something. That's all the ingredients, so it's a bit more expensive. Normal foundation have much more ingredients, and it's also bad for your skin, it causes wrinkles more quickly. The only thing about mineral foundations is that it's more expensive. Hope I helped!
mineral is better.

What are the pros and cons of using mineral foundation/makeup?

The pros are that they won't clog your skin, it can breathe. There aren't any oils which damage your skin, and also other chemicals like Sodium Lauryl Sulphate which is really bad for your skin and make you look older. They are usually not tested on animals.

Cons, you don't get such thick coverage(however, using it for a longer period of time will make your skin better and thus extra coverage isn't needed) and some brands contain some harmful minerals, or are fake. I suggest you do proper research on the brands you are interested in.What are the pros and cons of using mineral foundation/makeup?
PROS:

-good for your skin

-doesn't clog pores

- light coverage

- doesn't damage your skin from continued/everyday use

CONS:

- doesn't give a full and complete coverage as liquid foundations.

Be careful though. A lot of companies are claiming that there foundation is a mineral type and it's fake. So read the labels and choose a reputable brand. What are the pros and cons of using mineral foundation/makeup?
I am basing all my information from what I have learned from the Cosmetic Cop (AKA Paula Begoun), and my personal experience.

YOU HAVE TO READ THE LABELS!!! Some companies put talc in their powder. Talc can be harmful, and doesn't really do much. It can clog pores, get your face oily, and stain clothes if you get it on things. If you get the correct kind (which I don't know that that is) you can have sheer cover that looks natural, breathes easily, and doesn't feel heavy.

Please check out the Cosmetic Cop. She has tested every beauty product, and I put all my faith in her when shopping for makeup!
